Soulja Boy Explains Why Rapper University Venue Appears Empty

Soulja Boy says a mocked vacant-campus clip captures pre-audition scouting while his music education project remains pending.

Soulja Boy has called out a viral fake-news claim after an empty-venue clip falsely suggested Rapper University opened without a single student.

The circulating video showed Soulja walking through a vacant building while accounts claimed the footage proved his school had attracted nobody.

“Why yall posting fake news? Rapper university hasn’t started yet. This was me looking for a venue for auditions,” Soulja wrote Thursday.

Rapper University began taking shape June 9 after Kai Cenat left Soulja outside his plans, according to a June 10 report.

“Never mind we doing Rapper University hit my dm if u wanna come it’s about to be a movie,” Soulja announced. “Comment Rapper University if u wanna be apart of history!”

That announcement also revived a prediction from DDG, who mocked the idea before Soulja had opened applications or released his official trailer.

“I guarantee you, nobody coming to this sht, boy. Not one person. We don’t want to learn sht from you. You ain’t had a hit since I was 10, ni**a,” DDG said.

Soulja answered the doubts with a nearly two-minute promotional video that framed the project as a practical online school for creative careers.

“I was the first rapper to be a dean and a m############ professor. Come on, now. I’m here to teach y’all this game, man,” Soulja said.

“At Rapper University, we not teaching y’all how to be famous. We teaching y’all how to build something that lasts. We teaching y’all how to turn y’all ideas into income. We teaching y’all how to turn y’all followers into a community,” he added.

The program’s official site now accepts one-minute YouTube auditions from rappers, singers, producers, creators and several behind-the-scenes music professionals.

Applicants may seek places as students, teachers, mentors, judges, managers or promoters while Soulja plans classes, critiques and guest appearances.

The concept grew directly from Soulja’s Streamer University feud, which later included reports that security blocked him from Kai’s Atlanta auditions.

That history made the empty-room joke easy internet bait, although Soulja’s response showed the viral caption ran ahead of the actual event.

Rapper University’s website still lists admissions as open and directs viewers to Soulja’s Kick channel without publishing an official premiere date.
