T.I.’s upcoming album “Kill The King” has surfaced with a star-studded tracklist and some pretty powerful imagery.
T.I.’s retirement feels eminent.
We know he is The King, but now it looks like he’s ready. This album has been pushed back more that Stephen A. Smith‘s hairline…but the event is coming. Nobody is saying much, but my sources are telling me the exact date the opus is going to hit. I will not say the date, but it is potentially this month. That’s all I will say.
There’s artwork and a tracklist floating around. Again, out of respect, we will keep this to ourselves. I can confirm Tip is coming with something far deeper than another collection of songs. But I can say this has to be true! Bro has a listening session in NYC this week so you know the ATL one has already passed. 😉

The visuals pretty shocking. The rumored front cover features a fallen king chess piece lying in a pool of blood. Another image, on the back, (remember back in the day when there was a front and a back?) shows a blood-stained axe. It almost feels like they are giving us that ol’ think back. You know, physical albums!
I am gathering there’s a 15-track album with an impressive lineup of guests. Anderson .Paak joins him on “Where I’m From,” while “Dope Boys Academy” assembles a Southern dream team of T-Pain, Jeezy and 2 Chainz. Summer Walker lends her talents to “And Won’t,” while YoungBoy Never Broke Again appears on “#LLOOGLAY.” Impressive.
“Trauma Bond” (a song we have already heard) features the Marching Crimson Pipers. Usher appears on “Gorgeous,” while The-Dream brings it to “How It Went.” Of course Young Dro reunites with Tip on “Represent A Time.”
There’s more.
“Belt To Ass” sounds like vintage T.I., and “Mr. Him” feels like a declaration of dominance. “What Is Love” and “Crown” suggest some introspection.
Kill The King is a long time coming. I can’t wait to hear it!
Remember, “killing off the king” is a metaphor for killing one’s ego.
